Stand Up, Walk Out, Walk In...And Reclaim Our Founding Values

Stand Up, Walk Out, Walk In...And Reclaim Our Founding Values

Hello Patriots,

We won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.

We’ll sing it out on Tuesday, loud and proud.

The wannabe King tried LA, DC, Portland, Chicago, and now in Minneapolis he’s gone full death squad.

It won’t work, unless we do what he wants—give up, go quiet, watch TV.
Sorry, MAGA’s, we won’t be silent: not in Westfield, not in any of the 2,100 Indivisible towns and cities in every state, and not in the next thousand towns that will join us in the months ahead.

The British discovered after the Boston Massacre of 1775 that Americans won’t be cowed. We haven’t gone soft in 250 years.

Whatever the weather, we will be back on the street Tuesday 3:30-4:30 pm, letting our neighbors know: We won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.

In the news:

We must demand our elected representatives (not just federal– local and state as well), to publicly commit to the values our democracy was founded upon. A radical document, the Declaration of Independence contains the crux of those values. Watch as a Westfield resident asks our council to do just that!

Former Westfield Solicitor Peter Martin read excerpts from the Declaration of Independence at a January 15 City Council meeting, urging elected officials to recommit to the founders' values and recognize tyranny in today's "turbulent times," explicitly highlighting passages about resisting despotism and a ruler "unfit to be the ruler of a free people."

His remarks directly align with the principles of No Kings Westfield and the broader Indivisible movement, which exist to resist authoritarian tendencies and defend democratic norms through local civic action in Westfield and across the nation. By invoking the Declaration's warnings against tyranny at a local government meeting, Martin demonstrated the grassroots resistance strategy central to our cause: using public participation and founding principles to hold power accountable at the community level.
