As we close out 2025 and look ahead to the fights of 2026, our resolve has never been stronger. Below are crucial opportunities to defend our community's future and organize for the long haul. Every conversation, every action, every door we knock builds the movement we need.

URGENT: Westfield Datacenter Opposition Planning

A massive datacenter campus threatens our community's precious resources—water and municipal power. This is a planning board document from 2021 on the subject: https://www.cityofwestfield.org/DocumentCenter/View/10541/Planning-Board-recommendation-on-Servistar-LLC-application-for-Data-Center

Developers plan to build up to 14 buildings totaling 2.7 million square feet on roughly 120 acres, a project valued between $2.5 and $4 billion. We cannot risk our water security and our municipal power for corporate profit and AI.

Next Sunday Meeting: January 4, 4-5pm Folks are invited to join an organizing meeting for datacenter efforts. We will get the link for those sessions. Going forward, this group will need all the support they can get, so please reach out to us for the link.

City Council Action - January 15 @ 6:50pm
We're reading the abbreviated Declaration of Independence at the upcoming City Council meeting on January 15 at 7pm. Arrive by 6:50pm at City Hall, 52 Court St., City Council chambers. We approach this with the understanding that council members are not yet against our cause. We'll raise our hands in agreement and afterwards seek one-on-one conversations with council members. We're hoping for 12 to 24 people to attend—your presence matters. Reach out if you can join us!
