Ahead: another year of resistance

Ahead: another year of resistance

Patriots,

Our 2nd monthly Saturday rally for peace grew to 100 attendees by noon! Thank you for bringing your best signs and singing voices. Our next Saturday rally is March 28th, 11-12PM, which is also the national No Kings 3 event! Bring everyone you can, and look around the valley and the district for more events throughout the day– we'll share them all soon. See the bottom of this post for this week's events!

Starting Tuesday, March 10th we will officially move back to a 4-5PM time slot for our Tuesday rallies!

This week marks exactly a year of resistance with No Kings Westfield. From our humble beginnings with 5 humans and 2 dogs on a small traffic island, to your political home in the most unlikely of places in Western Massachusetts, we thank you for the friendships new and old, the passion you have for your history, causes, and faiths, your commitment to NON-VIOLENCE and for standing up for the one thing we all can agree on: There will be NO KINGS in America. The list of crimes and violations of human rights under this president grows, but the number of people building a better world is greater. The power of the people is always greater than the people in power.

If you're ready to do more than your hour in the park with us, or have ideas or opportunities to share, you can always ask us or reach out at [email protected]– we'll point you in the right direction!

Finally, we stand by our support of local high school students who walked out at the end of the day on Friday. To set the record straight: students were not marching against immigration enforcement, but the abuse, kidnapping, and murder perpetrated by ICE against American citizens, fellow students, and all people who deserve due process by CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT in this country. These students are our future, and should be praised for participating in the very civics they learn about in history class. They planned and put into action a protest all on their own, and reached out to us to show up for security and support. That's it! Everyone had fun, exercised their rights, and went home safe.

Indivisible and 50501 chapters across the country stand with all ICE OUT student walkouts:

Iran

There can be NO WAR in Iran. We will not abide more endless war, that serves only to distract from this administration's offenses at home and continue The United States long history of imperial power and illegal intervention in foreign countries.

Call our Senators and House Rep. Demand they support the war powers resolutions.
