The work continues...

It’s still hard for me to believe: a week ago I posted to 178 addresses. This one goes out to 328, and that’s just half of all who showed up, unannounced, to proclaim NO KINGS! together. We are still researching, but it’s likely we were the largest demonstration in Westfield’s history.

As Paul Krugman writes in the link below, “This is not the end. It’s not even the beginning of the end. But it may be the end of the beginning.” Trump meant to seize autocratic power by projecting an image of overwhelming power. That mirage is destroyed.

National days of defiance are great, but our weekly witness stops any sense of “back to business as usual” dead in its tracks. We won a battle but we haven’t won the war. We were at 50-60 weekly before June 14–many of you vowed to join us then, and if you all keep your vow we should be close to 100 tomorrow at 4pm in Park Square.
