Hello 152 NO KINGS Patriots!
Good weather and more outrage at the current administration fueled our rise in numbers to an all time high of 60 on Tuesday. During the May Day protest on May 1st, there were 120 of us, and we hope to achieve a goal of 200 people for the next national day of action, Saturday, June 14, 2025 which is both Flag Day as well as Donald Trump’s 79th birthday. Here in Western MA, we were outraged but unsurprised to learn that masked ICE agents equipped with tactical gear and assault weapons invaded Great Barrington to take away two men who worked at a bar and grill
ICE agents also made their way to Worcester, where a mother was detained by ICE after they used her two daughters, ages 21 and 17 respectively, as “bait” via threats of arrest to the older sibling, despite the fervent efforts and protests of their neighbors to protect their mother from being arrested.
In response to these and many other cases, we aim to consult with state and national Indivisible leaders on how to approach civic leaders in Westfield, a “purple” city, on confronting this nationwide assault of immigrants and citizens alike by ICE. NO ONE should ever be grabbed like that by masked, armed, unidentified people, and we won’t stand for it in Westfield!
