NKW: Tuesday, May 6th followup

Hello, 147 Patriots!
Spirits were high as we found ourselves singin’ in the rain this week. The 35 of us who rallied included two middle school students joining us for the first time. Let’s find ways to help them arouse a new generation!
The big news is the announcement of the next date for nationwide actions, June 14th, 2025. The Wannabe King has announced a $45 million military parade to celebrate his 79th birthday (and coincidentally Flag Day). We are one of over 1,500 organizations allied with Indivisible who will have our own parades and raise our nonmilitary flags to celebrate “We the People” that day. In Westfield we will rally on Park Square from noon until 1:00 p.m.
Several of you have stepped up to offer various gifts and talents:
Rob Robertson is calling for patriots to attend a Friday May 16 standout on the I-90 Mountain Road overpass, 4-6 pm. Bring signs and banners commuters can read.

Sierra Covey [email protected] leads a Banned Book Club meeting in the Reed Room of Westfield Athenaeum. We are reading The Handmaid’s Tale for May, with discussion on Wednesday, May 28, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Saw the TV series? Read the book!
Someone suggested we collect for Westfield’s food pantry when we gather. Another suggested a “free store.” Does either idea inspire you? Let us know! [email protected]
Finally, we had a blast singing Pete Seeger’s “If I Had a Hammer” with new lyrics. Here’s Peter, Paul, and Mary in 1963.
We sang “If I had a hammer, a flag, a vote!”
Hope to see you on Tuesday, May 13th, 4-5 pm,
Steve for the NO KINGS Westfield leadership team
