May Day 2026

No Kings Westfield: Defending democracy through nonviolent action, uniting community to reject authoritarianism, and affirming that power belongs to the people. May 1st is coming — and we’re getting ready. Join us Saturday, April 25th for a special standout to build momentum for our May Day action. This is your chance to connect with neighbors, learn about the history and power behind International Workers’ Day, and get organized for May 1st together. April 25th is also a National Day of Action to Stop ICE Warehouse Detention, organized by Detention Watch Network, Indivisible, MoveOn, The Workers Circle, and Public Citizen. Across the country, communities are standing up against the expansion of mass detention facilities. Workers’ rights and immigrants’ rights have always been the same fight — from the immigrant garment workers who died in the Triangle Shirtwaist fire to the farmworkers who built the labor movement, the history of May Day is the history of all working people standing together. We’re proud to stand with this national action as part of our countdown to May 1st. We’ll be sharing the stories they don’t teach in school — how working people won the 8-hour day, the weekend, and every workplace protection we take for granted — and talking about why those rights are under threat right now. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or this is your first time showing up, this is the moment to get involved. May 1st is a day of collective power — No Work, No School, No Shopping — and it starts with us knowing each other, knowing our history, and knowing our worth. A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation and to act lawfully. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

No war.. No private army serving unchecked federal power. - Expand democracy, not corporate power. Hands off our vote..
