A Big, Beautiful, NO!

Greetings fellow patriots!

We’re looking at humid, drizzly weather for Tuesday 4-5 pm—dress accordingly! As the Big Ugly Bill moves forward, our Big Beautiful NO becomes more important than ever.

1. The next National Day of Defiance is Thursday, July 17, “Good Trouble Lives On” in the spirit of Civil Rights hero John Lewis.  Here in Westfield we’ll rally 4-5 pm and longer if the spirit moves. We have 15 full-color publicity posters to put up in local stores in town. Can you help us by speaking to store owners on Elm Street to place these signs?
2. We need help putting together a grant application to Indivisible for a sound system and sundry expenses. Can you help?
3. Sue and Paul would like to build us a giant puppet on sticks like those of Bread and Puppet Theater. Can you help?
4. Chris is a professor and wants to put together a class for us. Maybe Tuesday at 5 pm? Who wants to know more? He and Jordan are looking for writers who would contribute to a new or existing zine. Anyone?

The song for 5 pm honors those who took down the slavers in 1865. Here’s a preview of “Rally Round the Flag”. Anybody got a fife? A drum? There will be more lyrics!
